Kesgen [ˈkɛsɡɛn] means “cutting” — as an adjective — in my native language. It defines the purpose of every knife since the Stone Age.
My name is Kazim. I’m a software engineer and independent folding-knife designer/maker based in Berlin, originally from the Caucasus region of Russia.
I began working on folding knives and locking mechanisms in 2024, testing my designs and making prototypes. This work led me to develop the RailLock — a solid blade-locking design that I’m currently refining and moving toward professional production.
I'm open for collaborations if you want to try the RailLock mechanism in your own projects. Just hit me up by email.
